The Scouts BSA program of Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is a youth organization for both boys and girls focused on character development, leadership development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. This program is youth-led with adult guidance. All boys and girls are eligible to join once they have completed 5th grade or earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts.
Troop 627 is a Scouts BSA family troop (for boys and girls) in East Peoria, IL, We are chartered by the W.D Boyce Council, and are in the Wotamalo District of the W.D. Boyce Council.
We meet at 7:00PM every Monday, and hold one campout per month year-round.
Troops 627 and 1627 operated as linked troops from 2019 through 2025, participated in the co-ed troop pilot program, and became a family troop in 2025 under the Troop 627 banner. We usually have two patrols, often one girl patrol and one boy patrol.
We are connected with Cub Scout Pack 3627 but we welcome scouts from any unit. Our current leaders and members came up through several different packs, and many have joined our troop directly without any cub scouting experience. Drop us a note if you'd like to come meet us!
